Recurrent colorectal cancer presents a significant surgical challenge requiring expert planning and execution. SURGICAL TREATMENT: • Re-resection of locally recurrent rectal cancer • Extended resection involving adjacent organs (bladder, uterus, pelvic wall) • Salvage surgery after chemoradiotherapy • Cytoreductive surgery + HIPEC for peritoneal metastasis from colorectal cancer APPROACH: All recurrent cancer cases are assessed in a multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting involving surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists.
