Colorectal cancer requires expert surgical management, often combined with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. PROCEDURES: • Open colorectal resection (right hemicolectomy, left hemicolectomy, anterior resection, abdominoperineal resection) • Laparoscopic colorectal resection — less pain, faster recovery, better cosmesis • Total mesorectal excision (TME) for rectal cancer • Stoma formation (colostomy/ileostomy) when required MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH: Surgery is coordinated with oncology for adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy as needed.
